I have worked with Mr. Turner over the years at Highland Elementary School and currently at
Brookfield Village Elementary School. This year afforded him an opportunity to shadow Ms.
Daniels, the principal at Brookfield Village Elementary School. He is learning what the role and
responsibility of being in charge entails. This on the job support and training will serve him well
when he becomes an instructional leader and is called on to perform the responsibilities of an
administrator. He knows the importance of school-wide supervision to the safety and well-being
of staff and students. He is a member of the ReDesign team at Brookfield which task is to re-
imagine Brookfield as a quality school that serves the whole child. Mr. Turner will obtain an
administration credential this year.
He exemplifies many classroom and leadership attributes such as organizational skills and
management. He works well with teachers to help prepare them handle the demands of
managing their classroom. I have observed how he interacts with staff and students as well as
his approach towards running a building as an organization and as a business. He is calm and
even tempered, which is refreshing considering how volatile situations may arise. Students
readily adhere to his instructional procedures. Mr. Turners systematically handles classroom
discipline. He will lead his staff well. He takes great joy in helping staff and students have a
successful day.
